Whole health goes well beyond physical health. It includes
emotions, relationships, stress, family, and spiritual well-being.
Health is not simply the absence of disease. It is not something
that a pill can create within the body. It is a state of well-being
that is created within by the choices we make each day. What
we eat, think, breath, and feel all affect health. When the
body is stressed, it is more susceptible to illness. These stressors
include everything one experience’s in life and how one deal’s
with these experiences.
To change the paradigm of “health”, take a look
at all aspects of life, including:
• WORK
• RELATIONSHIPS
• EMOTIONAL HEALTH
• PHYSICAL HEALTH
• FINANCIAL HEALTH
• FUN & ADVENTURE|
• CONTRIBUTIONS TO OTHERS
• SPIRITUAL WELL-BEING
To be healthy means to live a full life, a balanced life. Start
by doing the little things in life that make a big difference.
Start by working less hours and spending more time with family and/or
yourself. Practice self-care. Get priorities straight.
Eliminate people, places, and things that drain energy. Invest
in financial well-being by consolidating debts, making budgets, and
setting higher goals. Go on vacation (if only for a day and
night); take a bubble bath; walk through your neighborhood…take
the dog; try natural healthcare (acupuncture, reiki, massage therapy,
chiropractic, homeopathy, tai-chi, yoga); go to the movies; get a
facial and manicure; go out to dinner with the girls; take the kids
someplace special; organize the clutter; manage time.
The list goes on…but the point stays the same. Live life,
enjoy life, and look at it as a whole. Make necessary changes
in these areas and life will flow more freely. Be grateful and
enjoy the path.
Happy New Year. Enjoy it! Live it! Own it!
