Making the Connection
The WV Early Childhood Training Connections and Resources programs of West Virgina will present the ninth annual “Celebrating Connections” Conference, February 15-17 at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WV. The professional conference will feature three days of programs and workshops designed to provide relevant information about practices, policies, planning and research that enhance community partnerships and quality in early education and care.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other professionals and participate in a diverse selection of early childhood education discussions. Workshops cover topics from difficult parents to angry children to emergent literacy and exploring science through children’s’ literature. Special needs, the business side of day care operation and side and changing technology will also be addressed.
The Exhibit Hall will also be open throughout the conference.
For those who may be interested in starting or expanding a day care business or any early education enterprise may wish to visit the informational booth in the Exhibit Hall shared by the Small Business Administration and the WV Women’s Business Center. Their representatives will be available to provide information on the SBA’s programs and services. Applications for the Community Express loan program, for unsecured loans from $5,000 to $50,000 will be taken the day of the event.
