Sue Ellen Waybright of Parkersburg was selected as the 2007 Professional Woman of the Year by the Mid Ohio Valley Professional Women’s Association. Nominations are based on association activities, professional achievements, and community involvement.
Sue Ellen is a Cost Accountant at the Bureau of the Public Debt, Department of Treasury. A Certified Business Professional through Washington County Career Center, she serves as Chair of the WV Counsel of the National Association of Insurance Women. And, she actively supports and participates in the annual Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
For the past two years, Sue Ellen has served as treasurer for the MOV Professional Women’s Association.
Appreciative board members of the group note that she handles the position with character, dependability and integrity. Her leadership example and ‘can do’ attitude contributed to her selection as Professional Woman of the Year.
As part of the award, a contribution is made to the honoree’s charity of choice. Sue Ellen selected EVE, Inc., a shelter for victims of abuse located in Marietta, Ohio, to receive a check in her name.
