Think and Shoot Green

The National non-profit organization, Project EverGreen, is seeking the best photos of all types of well-maintained green spaces for publication in their 2007 Because Green Matters Calendar. Photographs of lawns, landscapes, trees, gardens, back yards, parks, even sports fields or golf courses are all welcome as ‘green’ entries. .

Project EverGreen is a national non-profit organization representing green industry service providers, associations, suppliers and distributors, media companies, other organizations and individuals. Project EverGreen’s mission is to raise the awareness of the environmental, economic and lifestyle benefits of landscapes and promote the significance of those who preserve and enhance green spaces at home, work and play.

The photography contest was a direct result of the organization’s Because Green Matters award. The beautiful photos that accompanied the nominations exemplified the benefits of green spaces, so the non-profit group chose to showcase and share them in a calendar. Besides providing an additional reason to pay attention to green spaces, the competition is an opportunity for amateur photographers to see their work in print.

There is no entry fee or payment necessary to win. Each submission will be judged on its exemplification of Project EverGreen’s mission of promoting the environmental, economic and lifestyle benefits of green spaces,

The 2007 Because Green Matters calendar will be sold as a fund-raiser and winning photos will also be available as a series of screen savers. The deadline for contest entries is August 31, 2006.
