Beauty and the Beast

The Actors Guild of Parkersburg will perform the stage adaptation of Disney’s animated Beauty and the Beast from November 10th through the 25th. A strong willed young woman, Belle, breaks the spell that turned a handsome prince into a monstrous beast. Trying to save her father from the Beast’s clutches, Belle agrees to become his prisoner forever. Once inside the enchanted castle, the members of the Beast’s court, also transformed by the same spell into objects like clocks and candlesticks, play matchmakers. As the Beast falls in love with Belle, he grows less beastly, but the spell can only be broken if Belle loves him in return. Sponsored by Mountain State Blue Cross & Blue Shield, and performed at the Actor’s Guild, 724 Market Street, admission for performances is $15 for adults.
