The Thistledowne Fairies

Early in 2003, dancer-choreographer January Johnson Wolfe met with composer Mark Scarpelli and writer Dan Kehde with the goal of creating a new ballet with music and story that would be accessible to younger audiences but with a process that could be shared with creative arts students at the middle and high school levels. The result of this collaborative effort is the ballet "The Thistledowne Fairies", a three part series combining the talents of young musicians and dancers with the vision of the mentoring composer, author and choreographers.

Performances will be held on January 23, 2004 at 9:00 a.m., 11 :00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the West Virginia Cultural Center Theatre in Charleston. All shows will be booked on a first call basis and seats will be held accordingly.
