Love What You Do!

Tricia Kingery loves a challenge. Tell her it is impossible, and she will make it happy with a smile. Starting a marketing and public relations company is another item to check off the ‘impossible’ to-do list! Kingery & Company, LLC became a reality last fall.

By embracing the tagline, Climb the mountain. See the view., her client-centered approach maps a unique course for a partnership that will help her clients reach the mountain top and see the horizon in all directions. “Every day, in some way, I strive to help my clients overcome challenges and see the view,” she said.
Tricia’s company specializes in communications consulting in the form of marketing, public relations, facilitation and project management for businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and associations in the social service, healthcare, tourism and manufacturing industries. Tricia is originally from Elkview and now resides in Nitro, West Virginia with her husband Alex Kingery. Although her work has taken her throughout the country, she has always been blessed to call West Virginia home. “Education is at the heart of everything I do,” she said. She holds a Bachelor Degree from Marshall University in Psychology, a Master Degree from Marshall in Counseling and Rehabilitation and another Master Degree in Business (MBA) from West Virginia University.

“I love working and networking with other professional women, particularly women who set a good example,” she said. Early in her career, she had a woman supervisor who became a mentor and friend. From many talks and words of advice, she found the key to professional happiness. “It is quite simple, love what you do and success will follow. Since we spend most of our days working outside the home, it makes sense to spend this time doing what you love and working with people you like,” she said. So her advice to women is to find your passion.

“Over the years, I have found my passion. My company has set out on a journey to empower people, develop organizations and strengthen communities. Might sound cliché, but I truly want to use my experience to make a difference,” she explained. Her company’s guiding principles: 1) love what you do; 2) be good to people; and 3) exceed expectations.

“I believe that things in life happen for a reason. Every job opportunity opened another door that finally led me to take a leap of faith that made dreams of starting my own company a reality. Work experiences helped shape the kind of work that I do and the services I provide. Although I’ve always had that entrepreneurial spirit within me, I would not be where I am today if not for these unique experiences,” she added.

Tricia offers her clients the real thing – herself. She is able to use her national marketing and public relations experience to help West Virginia businesses tell their story, grow and prosper. “Whether it’s marketing, facilitating a meeting or planning a special event, I promise quality results,” she said.
