Being a woman is often a good thing but being a bear may be even
better.
Women get up and go to work doing something somewhere -, at home,
at the office, at the plant, on the road - 365 days a year. Bears
get to hibernate six months out of every year. That’s the
kind of scheduling women can appreciate.
Before they hibernate, bears are required to endlessly gorge themselves
in preparation for their long winter nap.
A mother bears deliver babies the size of a walnut –WHILE SHE
IS SLEEPING! By the time she wakes up, the cute, cuddly cubs
are partially grown, way past diapers, formula and mashed carrots. Is
this a really, really much better idea or what?
Mother bears don’t have to worry about being assertive. Everyone
knows she means business. No one messes with a mama bear. She
swats anyone who bothers her cubs. She swats the cubs if they
bother her. Everyone walks the line around a mama bear.
Bears don’t worry about cellulite, make-up or relationship
issues. The papa bear expects his mate to wake up growling. He
thinks its just fine that she has hairy legs and excess body fat. And,
papa bears are happy to have the same thing for dinner they had for
lunch.
There are plenty of good things about being a woman and the good
usually outweighs the bad. But, just bear-ly.
