Creating Your Own “Luck”

Is it possible to create your own “luck”? The answer is “YES”.

Researchers now tell us that we can create our own luck based on how we think and how we see things. Once we change the way we think and the way we see things, we can create our own good luck and fortune.

Sound simple?

Lucky people are lucky because they seize opportunities. Lucky people create their own positive self-fulfilling prophecies. Lucky people have an unshakable attitude that allows them to turn bad luck into good luck by focusing on what went right, not what went wrong. Today we are reading about the Law of Attraction. The new book released called “The Secret” is about creating your own luck by one universal principal.

You can begin to change your luck by training your mind to be more positive, more optimistic, and to become more aware of opportunities. You must believe that you can have good fortune, to have good fortune.

Unlucky people miss opportunities because they're too busy looking for something else or something better or just complaining about what they haven’t got. With their mind focused on the “don’t have’s”, unlucky people are not open to possibilities. Most unlucky people feel that they have to do things a certain way. They don’t want to change anything. Remember, when you keep doing what you have been doing, you will get the results you have been getting.

Lucky people will examine opportunities in front of them instead of just focusing on the negative, and therefore, they are more open to possibilities and are willing to do things a little differently to get the positive result they want.

When you regularly change things or try new things, you get your subconscious mind to focus on finding better ways to do things. That's when luck begins to come your way. It's all because your subconscious mind begins to create the situations for you to succeed. But, this will only happen when you believe you can have good luck and when you believe that you can succeed.

Having good luck also depends on how you see things and how you deal with setbacks or misfortunes, those times when things didn't turn out as you wanted. Lucky people turn misfortune to their favor. They approach things like this – “it could have been worse than it was. What did they learn from this experience and how can they avoid it or do it better the next time. On the flip side, unlucky people say, bad luck just follows them around everywhere they go and whatever they do. Unlucky people think they have bad luck. Lucky people feel they are always lucky.

If you focus all your thoughts on the negative, your subconscious mind will create more negative. This is the whole theory of the Law of Attraction. On the other hand, if you focus on what went right and how you could improve things, your subconscious mind will create more and more positive situations.

Many types of research have been done on this topic. The results are that approximately 80% of those who changed the way they did things, changed the way they saw things by focusing on the good fortune rather than the bad fortune, changed the way they thought, became more positive and open minded and were not only happier and more satisfied with their lives, they had better luck.

So, what will it be for you – good luck and fortune or bad luck and misfortune? Train your mind to start working for you. Today, you need to begin to be more open to possibilities. Try a different approach to something. Drive a different way home at night. Tell yourself that you are lucky and think about all the good things that have happened in your life.

If you hear yourself saying, “Oh, right, that won’t work for me” or “They don’t know me and my bad luck”, then you are thinking in the negative. Snap out of it. You are creating your own “good luck” or “bad luck”. Which do you want?
