Welcome!
A Woman’s View welcomes articles of interest from readers.
Contributions should be received no later than the 15th of
the month prior to their intended publication. Articles
may be edited for style or content in order to conform to
the style and mission of the paper. Please take a moment
to review the guidelines that are used by A Woman’s
View in reviewing submissions.
Since the mission of A Woman’s View is to promote, encourage
and inform women, the subject matter should be about or of
interest to women.
The article should be written in a professional manner, including
complete sentences, proper grammar and correct punctuation.
It should be e-mailed to the publisher.
Articles must be informational and objective in approach and
style. The use of personal pronouns - you, I, we, yours-
is generally not suited to our journalistic presentation.
First person stories (“This is what I did, this is how
I feel about it.”) should not be submitted without prior
approval.
Please do not begin articles with questions directed to the
reader (Did you know…?”)
The use of bullet points in the text is discouraged.
Complete sentences in paragraph form are requested and preferred.
Articles should be 500 words or less in length. Pictures are
always welcomed.
Mention of a specific business, or any promotion of a business
event or activity is not permitted. Products, hours,
hours of operation, special sales or appeals to call, visit
or buy are not permitted in the text of the article.
Articles submitted by advertisers may not have the business
name in the text or invite patronage in any way. Please
do not ask A Woman’s View to compromise the integrity
of the paper by submitting an article for marketing purposes.
Credit for authorship is gladly given as a byline. At their
discretion, A Woman’s View will also provide contact
information and/or business status to establish the author’s
credibility.
Articles that have been published elsewhere should not be
submitted.
We appreciate your interest and support of A Woman’s
View. We look forward to receiving ideas, suggestions
and articles that are appropriate for our audience.
