To Market, To Market for yarns and crafts

The homespun crafts of knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving take center stage at Market Street Yarns and Crafts, a new downtown Parkersburg business that features a rainbow of yarns from an international list of manufactures. Besides the well known Debbi Bliss brand of yarns, the market street shop offers Japanese Noro and Italian yarn makers. Mohair, rabbit angora and Alpaca blends surround the hand weaving looms and spinning wheels displayed for sale.

The shop is owned by Pat Ferrebee, an accomplished knitter. Pat currently lives in Virginia and works at the Pentagon, but is anticipating retirement with the yarn and crafts enterprise at 1605 Market Street. She will be counting on assistant manager Leanne Brown to handle weekday activities of the shop. Pat’s husband Mack is the weaver and he makes hand crafted drop spindles used by fellow crafters.
